Heroes of Might and Magic II is a fantasy turn-based strategy game which takes place in the land of Enroth, a place of magic. There are a multitude of creature types, from griffins to rocs, golems to pikemen, unicorns to hydras, and four different dragons. Each castle type has six different creatures, from the weak to the strong.

Fheroes2 - download the mod. It's an open-source project that provides a new and significantly improved engine for Heroes of Might and Magic 2. It needs the game files to work, but you can also use it to download a demo of HoMM2, to see how the mod performs in action. The advantages of the new engine are numerous.

Introduction. Events introduced in Hammers of Fate are continuation of the previous ones, from the basic game version. The play course hasn't changed. Players simply get three new campaigns. And again each of them consists of 5 missions. Please take a look at unofficial walkthrough which describes every of fifteen scenarios in very detailed way.

This is a largely magic campaign and magic spells are random. If you don't get the right spells fairly early on the campaign will be considerably harder, maybe impossible. Since you only have one source of spells in the first level, you are best of making sure you get most of the vital spells in your first town (Camp Dracon).
