Did that 2 weeks ago, and was horrified to pay ยฃ108 for the following, shown on invoice.. "Investigate Catalytic Converter warning light on. Carried out GFF finding P20E00 adblue event stored. Refer to TPI 2054601/5 as known issue. Carried out Engine ECU Software update as TPI.
so assuming that VW have developed a NEW MAP that has the adblue tweeks . . . . . then the tuners need to take a copy of that new map, and make a new-new map with the performance tweeks added again (and roling road tested again). . . if you over write the new VW map with your old tuned map you are just overwriting the new code with old.
I turned ignition on for 30 seconds to reset the adblue but it doesn't reset and and continues to say 600 miles till no engine start, at no time while all this was going on did the display recommend how much adblue to put in.
So, all good. Finally found an Adblue pump this morning, and filled to the brim. Turned on ignition for the required 30s, and hey presto, no warning message. This morning I put in 7.5 litres, which is on top of the 5 litres I put in when the van told me to put in between 4.25 and 5.75 litres. So 12.5 litres in total. Two things I have learned
Many independents do have the required software and should be able to either reset the system using the software or diagnose the reason for the reset not taking place. Nov 1, 2021. #1. Had the Cali since late 2019, around March this year I filled up with Ad Blue with no issues. Range increased back up to, I forget but many 1000's. The Van has only done 7,000 miles. Last weekend I was in Cornwall and out of the blue (pun intended) a yellow spanner appears saying 650 miles until engine shutdown - due to no Ad Blue.

So contacted dealer, last service was done at 1 year old and only 1800 miles. Van is 1.5 years old now and just over 5000 miles, so not even due an "Inspection" service until 2 years old.
key codes are P20EE - SCR NOx catalysts efficiency below threshold bank one, and the associated 31103. Given the lack of any impact I have elected to reset the codes and keep a watching brief. It now seems that the same codes are flashing up at around a 300 mile interval.
